Community Photo Project--April 6th

Arkansas Voices for Children Left Behind has partnered with Maggie Carroll, a student at the Clinton School of Public Service, to put together an exhibit of photographs taken by children and teens affected by incarceration. It will be a touching look into these children's lives and a fantastic way of showing support for their art!

  1. I couldn't agree with you more. This would be a very interesting event to attend. Thank you for posting this.

  2. This is really cool! I think photography is so powerful too!
This makes me think that El Zocalo (I don't know how to do that little punctuation thingy!) would be a great candidate for InsideOut Project!
We were going to do it at The Dyslexia Project, but in the end when uploading photos we had to post names of the pictured people and we didn't want to post children's names. However, you could feature many Arkansans and raise awareness for this segment of the population by featuring life-size posters which are plastered on buildings somewhere. It's actually a "global-art project," so maybe you could even apply for some type of grant to fund it, but the media attention potential is great, I think. That is such a good idea!!!! That project looks fabulous, and it is a great grant idea.
